Father’s Little Dividend 1951

In this sequel to Father of the Bride (1950), Stanley Banks (Spencer Tracy) learns that his daughter Kay (Dame Elizabeth Taylor) is going to have a baby. When they get the news everyone except Stanley is overjoyed. His wife and grandmother-to-be Ellie (Joan Bennett) broadcasts it everywhere and all Stan can do is worry about the practical things like how his son-in-law Buckley Dunstan (Don Taylor) can afford it. Well, having not long ago paid for the wedding, Stanley has no intention of bearing any of the expenses involved. Buckley’s parents and Ellie are overjoyed at the news and virtually take over redecorating the young couple’s new house. Crisis and false alarms take over their lives and when the child is born, the only person he doesn’t seem to like is Stanley. A walk in the park – and absolute panic when Stanley misplaces his grandson – seems to resolve the situation. IMDB

Revenge of the Creature 1955

Revenge of the Creature (a.k.a. Return of the Creature and Return of the Creature from the Black Lagoon) is the first of two Universal-International sequels to Creature from the Black Lagoon. It was the only 3D film released in 1955 and the only 3D sequel to a 3D film released during “the golden age of 3D”. Produced by William Alland and directed by Jack Arnold (the director of the first Creature film), the film stars John Agar, Lori Nelson, John Bromfield and Nestor Paiva. The Creature was played by Tom Hennesy on land, and once again, portrayed by Ricou Browning underwater. It marked Clint Eastwood’s film debut.

Revenge of the Creature premiered in Denver on March 23, 1955 and a “flat”, non-3D sequel, The Creature Walks Among Us, followed in 1956. Revenge was released as a double feature with Cult of the Cobra. Wiki

The Creature Walks Among Us 1956

The Creature Walks Among Us is a 1956 American monster horror film and the third and final installment of the Creature from the Black Lagoon series from Universal Pictures, following the previous year’s Revenge of the Creature. The film was directed by John Sherwood, the long-time Universal-International assistant director, in his directorial debut. Jack Arnold, who had directed the first two films in the series, had moved on to “A-list” films, and felt he had no more to contribute to the horror genre. He suggested that his assistant director, Sherwood, could move up to full director, which partly affected Universal’s decision to allow him to direct the film.[1] The Creature Walks Among Us starred Jeff Morrow, Rex Reason, Leigh Snowden, Gregg Palmer, and Maurice Manson. The Creature was played by Don Megowan on land, and for his final appearance as the Gill-man, played by Ricou Browning underwater. And, like the original Creature from the Black Lagoon, had music composed by Henry Mancini, who at the time was under contract with Universal. The Beach Girls and the Monster 1965

Young Richard Lindsay (Arnold Lessing) has given up his career in science in favor of his newfound passion, surfing on the Santa Monica, California beachfront. The beachfront is located near his father and stepmother’s house, where he lives. This is to the great displeasure of his father, the noted oceanographer Dr. Otto Lindsay (Jon Hall), who is married to the younger Vicky (Sue Casey). Vicky is dissatisfied with Otto’s relative lack of devotion to her. Also living with the Lindsays is Richard’s sculptor buddy Mark (Walker Edmiston), who walks with a limp as a result of an auto accident Richard had earlier.

While Vicky hits on her stepson and teases his friend Mark, a monster emerges from the ocean and starts slaughtering the kids on the beach. Dr. Lindsay seems convinced that it is a genetically mutated carnivorous South American “fantigua fish” that has grown large enough in anthropomorphic manner to exist out of the oceans in a loathsome seaweed-shrouded form.
