“Butcher” Benton goes to his death in the state prison, cursing the three men who double-crossed him following an armored-car hold-up; “Squeamy” Ellis, Joe Marcelli and Paul Lowe, his attorney and leader of the gang. He vows to return and kill them and dies without revealing the location of the stolen money. Detective Chasen is determined to keep working on the case until the stolen loot is recovered. At War with the Army 1950 w/ Jerry Lewis

The film is set at a United States Army base in Kentucky at the end of 1944, during World War II.[4] The protagonists are First Sergeant Vic Puccinelli (Dean Martin) and Private First Class Alvin Korwin (Jerry Lewis), who were partners in a nightclub song-and-dance act before joining the Army.

Puccinelli wants to be transferred from his dull job to active duty overseas, but is refused transfer and is to be promoted to Warrant Officer. Korwin wants a pass to see his wife and new baby. In addition, they have to rehearse for the base talent show and avoid the wrath of Alvin’s platoon sergeant, Sergeant McVey (Mike Kellin).

Along the way they both sing a few songs, and they do an impression of Bing Crosby and Barry Fitzgerald by recreating a scene from Going My Way (1944) for the talent show. Further complications include a Post Exchange worker who is pregnant, a company commander who gets all his information from his wife, a scheming supply sergeant, and a defective Coca-Cola machine. A small coastal town is haunted by a spree of horrific murders. The victims include a talkative shopkeeper, a little girl, two brothers out fishing, and a sheriff’s deputy. A pair of scientists and the sheriff are baffled at the cause of these slayings until they run into a Creature of the Black Lagoon style monster. The monster is a missing link between water-breathing and land-breathing creatures and is prehistoric. It turns out that the grumpy lighthouse keeper has been feeding the monster for the last ten years. After a final showdown between the creature and the lighthouse keeper, both are killed. Janice Starlin, the owner of a cosmetics firm, sees that her fading beauty is not only causing waves in her personal life but causing some prestige problems for her also-fading business.
